In the ever crowding web 2.0 space. vi.sualize.us implements a tested and proven solution to an existing situation. Social Bookmarking; but the difference is that it is not for documents, like del.icio.us and ma.gnolia are doing. I really like services unique like this. Instead of making another “me too” application. The developers went ahead and created something worthy of being written about.
Visualize is a service that allows you to bookmark your favorite images from around the web. You will understand its value, if you have searched for an image twice! As a designer, I have faced this situation myself many times before. And, I believe if a service like this was available before, I may not have to waste all those valuable time for searching for that single image file. Everyone knows, web hasn’t progressed much in terms of image search other than gathering some meta tags that will give nothing about the content of the real file.

Visualize lets you select multiple images from a site and saves it with your favorite tags. Say, I am working on a new project that requires some background photo, I can just tag it with required tags and it will stay there. You can argue that isn’t is better if you save the file to your local host. That’s where the social part kicks in and the fun begins. You can view images in Visualize by its tags, an obvious and proven way to get to see new images and gain some much needed inspiration for any designer. Visualize does provide a Firefox extension for their application, it will allow you to select images in a page and tag it. A thing I think they can improved is the extension. It just opens a new web page in a small window. Instead of that, I would have really enjoyed something like a local dialogue box with different fields. That would help in increasing the speed of the process of saving the files. Visualize also have other, web2.0 juices like friends, friend networks etc. I think it is a must use service for me..
There are other two services that offer the somewhat same facility, they are :
FFFFound! and Pixrat : While FFFFound is an invite only service and Pixrat has no Content filter and lack of many basic features I say Visualize.Us is the best service that you can go with for free.

Most of us never bother about small icons that can be seen next to the browsers address bar, The favicons. You agree or not favicons play a big role in the life of a website, from the first impression of a viewer itself. Since visual elements are easier to remember, a designer can use favicons to grab the visitors attention to the web site. Usually most of the designers are not really making use of them. Favicons can make a connection with the visitors and lets them to remember and identify your web site from a huge list ! For instance.. when they look at their bookmarks they can identify your site easy even without going through whole title and description.
